Just an update: Not looking like it’s going to be today! Feeling about the same as yesterday. I’ve felt some stronger contractions, but nothing regular yet– just a few here and there, kinda hard to notice or keep track of. Tomorrow I will see my doctor again so we will see if there are any changes and I will update again. I’m still guessing this weekend at the earliest, more likely next week. I feel way too normal right now to possibly be about to have a baby!
Not Today

Looks like Natalie might be planning for an early arrival!
I am now:
4cm dilated and 80% effaced
and
baby is at -3 station
(for those familiar with labor lingo)
In other words, she could wait a week or more, but could very well be here tomorrow!
All this and I can still barely tell when I am having a contraction– not at all what I expected.
Andy and the doctor predict by the end of the week, I am thinking (hoping?) she’ll wait till next week. Please humor me by leaving a comment and making a guess. 😉 Keep in mind, Saturday is a full moon! Don’t babies like to be born during a full moon?
Pictures, just for fun:
Watch my belly grow
“Coming home” outfit
(Andy picked it)
Natalie’s Easter dress!
We’ll keep you all updated. 🙂
New Faces
February 13th, 2007 by ToadWell, they’re not really new faces, as much as they’ve moved to a new home on the Internet. My brother and his wife have started up a new blog, hosted over on my dad’s site, where they’re keeping updates about their family, and pictures of themselves and their little son Jackson.
If you’re so inclined, go check out The JCJ Blog!

A Step Forward
February 5th, 2007 by ToadIn a departure from our usual blogs about Natalie, I’m now going to blog about myself and my myriad accomplishments in life. Or, maybe, just last October.
Any of you that are familiar with the licensing process for Engineers know that Engineers must endure two tests to complete their licensing as Professional Engineers. The first test, the Engineer-In-Training exam, may be taken any time after the first two years of college. The second test, the Professional Engineer exam, may only be taken after a successful EIT exam, and 6 years of qualifying work experience (college counts, go figure). You may recall, in October, I blogged about my trip down to take the test. Today, in the mail, I finally got the results.
Now, the EIT is pass/fail, and scores are not reported. So if you fail, you don’t know how badly, and if you pass, you don’t know how well. Fortunately, that means that when I opened the envelope this morning and saw the word “congratulations!”, I didn’t need to read any further. I’ve completed this first step in my licensing as a Professional Engineer, and now have letters to stick after my name.
You may all now refer to me as Toad, EIT. 😛
