A Step Forward

by Toad

In a departure from our usual blogs about Natalie, I’m now going to blog about myself and my myriad accomplishments in life. Or, maybe, just last October.

Any of you that are familiar with the licensing process for Engineers know that Engineers must endure two tests to complete their licensing as Professional Engineers. The first test, the Engineer-In-Training exam, may be taken any time after the first two years of college. The second test, the Professional Engineer exam, may only be taken after a successful EIT exam, and 6 years of qualifying work experience (college counts, go figure). You may recall, in October, I blogged about my trip down to take the test. Today, in the mail, I finally got the results.

Now, the EIT is pass/fail, and scores are not reported. So if you fail, you don’t know how badly, and if you pass, you don’t know how well. Fortunately, that means that when I opened the envelope this morning and saw the word “congratulations!”, I didn’t need to read any further. I’ve completed this first step in my licensing as a Professional Engineer, and now have letters to stick after my name.

You may all now refer to me as Toad, EIT. 😛

(Just as a funny extra, the first time I tried to type in the code, I thought you were supposed to place the four characters between 0A…..9F, with 0A at the front and 9F at the end)

    Now I get it

This is probably why I was never that good at math.
