Imagination

by Mollie

I love to see what the kids come up with when left to their own devices.  One morning they built a “rocketship” out of chairs and car seats, completely by themselves.  Here they are doing their “1-2-3… BLAST OFF!”  Natalie is great at coming up with fun make believe games and Ben is thrilled to play along.  I love how well they play together.  This was actually back in February and I didn’t have a chance to post it, but I thought you all might enjoy one of my favorite things in action.  This is why I keep the camera in arm’s reach!

Absolutely precious! I love that your caught them both with their arms up. What a sweet moment! And lol, all the passengers! Toooooo cute.
(I have to admit, I thought Natalie was sitting on a potty chair, at first!)
Can’t wait for moments like these!

This is the fun of childhood! I thought that Will over there in the window seat. These are the good ol’ days!

These days it’s spaceships. Natalie and Ben’s Grandpa Ted did the same kinds of things of course, with trains, and camping set up in the living room, lots of imagination! They used to put on plays and invite the neighborhood. So good for children! So much fun!
    Thanks for sharing!

What a wonderful idea! They must have such fun together. Forts are the “in” thing here. Along with bringing every toy they own in the fort as well! Oh to be a kid again! 🙂

This reminds me of the picture from the first family campout at Butte Lake where Crystal had arranged all the camp chairs in two rows and all the cousins played ‘School Bus’. It provided hours of entertainment. Imagination is ever so much more fun than all directed play! I also remember Grampa Wilkie whenever someone would say “I’m bored” He would always answer with “I’m sorry you’re boring” A great response. Nata and Ben will never be bored OR boring!
