September Summary

by Mollie

The month of September has been very busy for us, hence the lack of blogging!  We have been settling into our fall routine nicely though, enjoying a little more structure than we had in the summer.   Natalie is loving playdates, preschool, her craft class, and anything that involves going to church.   She’s learning to have a good attitude, even when it’s time to go home.  Ben is just happy to be along for the ride.   He’s learning to crawl.  I am staying more than busy being coordinator of MOPS at our church and training for a marathon in my rare “spare” time (usually involves getting up at 5:30 AM to run before the day’s activities start, not sure if that counts as spare).   I am learning to be more efficient during the day because there is only so long I can function on 5  hours of sleep per night!  I think Andy just looks forward to the end of the work day when we can have family time, as well as hanging out with extended family and friends lately.   We are blessed with so many great people to spend time with!  He is a great dad and plays along with all of Natalie’s crazy imaginary games.

If  you set Ben down on the ground he will immediately pop up into his crawling position and rock back and forth.  He can’t wait to get moving!

I am not good enough to use my camera on full manual mode yet, but I shoot in aperture mode a lot and sometimes it really pays off.  This picture turned out just how I wanted it, captured the colors nice and crisp and clear!  I couldn’t believe it was this good SOOC (straight out of camera).

This picture is funny because it is so true-to-life.  There’s a bug that’s landed on Natalie’s face, and Ben is stuffing grass in his mouth.  I was just trying to get a picture of all 3 of us and our blue eyes!  Ben’s and mine are the exact same color.  Nata’s are more bright.

5:30! What a stud! I am so impressed! What is your training routine? Have you decided what marathon to run in?

  2. Gpa &Gma Wilkie says:

Look at Ben! He’s wonderful, up on his hands and knees, ready to crawl soon, I’m sure.
And Nata is lovely, so photogenic! I like the one of the three of you, all blue eyes. I have the blue eyes, too, and gave them to 3 sons.
    Love you, Grandma & GGma

  3. Uncle Mike & Aunt Argelia says:

Uncle Mike is one of the sons that got blue eyes from Grandma Wilkie, and I like ’em! I like the nice pictures of your three sets of blue eyes, too. Nice!

I love the picture of the three of you, what a great idea! I’ll have to remember that, I’m hardly ever in pictures with Audrey.

  5. Toad says:

I’d just like to go on record here saying that those three are probably the most beautiful people I know.

That said, brown/green/grey eyes are pretty darn cool, too. 😛

  6. Mollie says:

Sorry honey! Maybe one of our future kids will get your crazy eye color!
